We care about the environment, human rights, employee welfare, social conditions and product safety. Our approach is to be a company that takes responsibility for our own actions and helps our customers and suppliers to take on theirs. This already begins in product development, where we strive to create products that affect the environment as little as possible, seeking to increase the usage of responsible raw materials and to avoid the use of chemicals. We are constantly monitoring our factories through the whole supply chain in an open transparent dialogue, expecting all suppliers to comply with our code of conduct and corporate social responsibility.
The EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) came into effect in March 2013, with the aim of preventing sales of illegal timber and timber products in the EU market. Now, any actor who places timber or timber products on the market for the first time must ensure that the timber used has been legally harvested and, where applicable, exported legally from the country of harvest – Woodman Trading is fulfilling those demands !
We love wood and we believe in respecting and protecting nature and the forests that give life to our furniture. Therefore, we strive to collaborate with certified forests whenever it is possible, to ensure a green mindset and that forests are alive for generations to come.
